Dr. Daya Ram Nhuchhen is an accomplished professional engineer and energy systems specialist with extensive experience in developing and implementing advanced strategies for bioenergy, waste-to-energy technologies, climate risk assessments, and comprehensive industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction.
Dr. Nhuchhen is a published expert in energy systems analysis, holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Master's degree in Energy Technology from the Asian Institute of Technology.
Professionally, he has 15 years of experience in the energy and sustainability sector, including senior analytical positions within university-affiliated energy research centers and advisor and engineer roles in territorial and local governments. In these diverse roles, he has worked on low-carbon technologies, energy and climate policy development, and conducted a wide range of research into the thermochemical conversion of biomass and developed decarbonization strategies for heavy industrial sectors. Dr. Nhuchhen brings a pragmatic, analytical approach to implementing and advocating carbon lean solutions for a sustainable and resilient future.
